Can I place a "last-minute" bid (snipe)?

Technically, you can place a last-minute bid to “snipe” an auction. But Yahoo! Japan Auctions gives sellers the option to extend an auction for 5 minutes if a new bid has been placed in the last 5 minutes, making sniping harder to do. If you want to give other bidders the least chance possible, then timing your bid for the 6th minute before an auction’s end is best.
