Celebrate Doll’s Festival with your favorite Blythe!!
Celebrate Doll’s Festival with your favorite Blythe!
In Japan, Doll’s Festival (Hinamatsuri) is held on March 3rd …and you know what, that is TODAY! Hooray!!! Another name for Hinamatsuri is “Momo no sekku (Peach Festival)” because March 3rd is in the midst of the peach blossom season on the lunar calendar. Families with daughters celebrate this day by displaying traditional dolls, eating traditional sweets and drinks. The concept of the festival is basically to pray for young girl’s growth and happiness.
The Recent Trend on Hinamatsuri? Celebrating it with Blythe (rather than with traditional dolls !)
On Yahoo Japan auction website, you can get Blythe with HANDMADE traditional Japanese kimono. It is made of vintage Kimono garment. Now it is just so precious..Its starting bid price is 3,000yen, I would say this one is a real bargain!
